Is desktop Linux stuck on stupid?
« on: November 04, 2005, 09:46:05 AM »

Good analysis from Paul Murphy One would be tempted to ask if MicroSoft would listen a bit better, maybe we wouldn't have to wade through so much crap to get to information that is actually useful.

Since the year 2000, I have allowed myself to be annually 'thrashed by the penguin.' During this time, I have installed several versions of Linux and almost had a winner on two occasions. Linux performed wonderfully under Virtual PC on my Powerbook and I installed Mepis on a PC and was able to 'fix' a frozen Windows PC.

Trying Mepis on a second PC made me remember why Linux is not ready for prime time. RTFM? Sure when humans start writing them. You know what a human is, they are the one's that add an explanation for TLAs.

Actually, I don't have to out-run the bear. I only have to out-run you.
