Google is releasing some amazing things for us to use and most of it's free.
Search Tools - Google Toolbar ~ useful and it eliminates most Popups
- Yahoo Search - results are only so-so
- I use 'My Yahoo' as a Portal and Instant messenger for IM
- I use Yahoo's Local desktop search with Konfabulator
Google Earth -
AMAZING - maybe next year I'll try out the subscription so that I can input GPS coordinates easier.
GMail - internet mail with the most storage, best interface, SPAM protection that works better and easier than the so-so stuff used with OutLook.
Gmail integrates fantastically with Picassa, Google's free picture organizer.
Picassa is also amazing. Especially because when compared to all 'the also rans' I've spent tons of money on in the past couple years searching for a better solution than the 'crappy' Adobe PhotoShop Album.
I am on the look-out to replace Adobe PhotoShop Elements. It's only used now because I haven't found a replacement for a few of it's web tools. Elements has become a major PITA, typical Adobe 'phoning home' to the mothership in draconian style for updates that fail, and fail, and fail... Oh. I got lost there when it started to sound like my opinion of Norton crapware.
